It has large windows with 9-foot ceilings that offer a magnificent view of the mountains. We completely furnished it and redecorated it in 2020. It is located on the Mont-Edouard mountain. Trail no. 9 can be reached on foot by taking an uphill walk. It is possible to return to the chalet on skis. The Pierre Lavoie snowshoe trail passes at the cottage door. This trail leads to the summit of Mont-Édouard where we find the Mont Édouard observation tower and its belvederes. At the bottom of the mountain, there is an ice rink, fatbike trails and cross-country ski trails. Snowmobile trails are also available nearby. Our cottage is located near the village of Anse-St-Jean, ranked among the most beautiful villages in Quebec. Several hiking trails are accessible via the village including the poets' trail that connects L'Anse to Petit-Saguenay, the waterfall trail, the White Mountain and the Belvedere of the Mille. In the village there are nice shops including the Café du Quai, the Nuance de Grain coffee, the Rebelle des Bois shop, the Kao chocolate factory, the Anse Bistro and Vélo Fjord which offers the rental of electric bikes to visit the village. In summer, its proximity to the fjord allows the practice of many other activities (kayaking, climbing overlooking the fjord, cruises, sailing, horseback riding). The Petit-Saguenay holiday village and its beach are nearby. There is also a small beach in the village of L'Anse. Cruises are available at the Quai de l'Anse. There is also a spa within walking distance of the chalet (Édouard les Bains). We also find SÉPAQ, which offers a variety of trails and activities in Rivière Éternité, the neighboring village of L'Anse. Festivals and activities take place throughout the year, whether on the mountain or in the village. La Montagne en Feu organizes great activities for families all year round.
