What travellers can search for

The catalogue allows travellers to explore destinations across Quebec and different types of stays. Regional pages include Charlevoix and the Laurentians. The website also features collections of chalets with hot tubs, with pools, that welcome dogs and for corporate stays.

Each collection provides a starting point. The features, restrictions and conditions of a stay should then be checked on the selected chalet's listing and in the applicable booking information.

How the chalet search works

The MonsieurChalets search lets travellers specify dates, guests and criteria such as a hot tub, sauna, pool or outdoor fire pit. A map is displayed alongside the results.

These choices can be recorded in the search URL. Copying that URL allows someone else to open the search with its context. When opening a link, check that the displayed dates, guests and filters still match the intended stay. Results and prices may change.

Searching without dates is useful for exploring the selection. To prepare a booking, add the dates and guests, then check the property details and applicable conditions.

Quick categories and additional filters

Quick categories include Guest favourites, Hot tub, Pool, Sauna and Outdoor fire pit. In the examples below, the active category is represented in the URL by the pre_filter parameter.

The Filters panel allows travellers to add other criteria. For example, a search can keep Sauna as its quick category and add Pool as an amenity filter.

In the test conducted with this page's examples, switching from Sauna to Hot tub replaced the active category while keeping the dates, two adults, one dog and the additional Pool filter.

Understanding search parameters

This section explains the parameters in the tested examples. Travellers can also use the search controls directly without editing the URL.

ParameterHow it works
s_datearrival date, in year-month-day format. Example: 2026-11-06.
e_datedeparture date, in the same format. Example: 2026-11-08.
adultsnumber of adults. adults=2 represents two adults; this parameter alone does not describe the full composition of a group that includes children or infants.
animalsnumber of dogs in the tested guest selector. animals=1 restores one dog under the French heading “Animaux — Chien(s)”.
pre_filteractive quick category. The tested values are firepit for Outdoor fire pit, guest_favorite for Guest favourites, spa for Hot tub and sauna for Sauna.
amenitiesadditional amenity. The tested value amenities=pool corresponds to the Pool filter.
lat and lngcoordinates used to position the map geographically. They are not a chalet's address or a guarantee of distance from a destination.
zoomthe map's zoom level. During the test, using the zoom-in button changed this parameter from 7 to 8.

The examples on this page document one quick category and, in the final example, one additional amenity. They do not define the syntax for every possible filter combination. For another combination, use the interface, then copy and check the link it generates.

These links illustrate search criteria. November 6–8, 2026 is a dated example and should be replaced when planning another stay. None of these links guarantees a particular result, price or availability.

From results to a chalet listing

In the test combining dates, two adults and one dog, the displayed property links carried over the dates and specified guest details. Those links used start and end for the dates. A listing's parameter names may therefore differ from those used in the search.

To continue, use the property link provided in the results and check the stay summary on the listing. The search context does not replace confirmation of the amenities, rules and detailed total.

Describing chalets accurately

  • A lake or river view does not confirm water access or permission to swim.
  • The presence of a hot tub or pool does not confirm that it is private, heated or open on every date.
  • Being near a ski resort does not mean a chalet offers ski-in/ski-out access.
  • Overnight guest capacity does not confirm permission to host an event or additional visitors.
  • Inclusion in a collection that welcomes dogs does not confirm that all animals are accepted without fees or restrictions.
  • A property being listed in the catalogue does not establish that MonsieurChalets owns it or provides its full property management.

Prices, availability and conditions

Prices and availability must be checked for the relevant dates, group and property. An average rate displayed on a property card is not a quote for a specific stay.

When communicating a price, specify the dates, number of nights, currency and any fees or taxes included in the amount consulted. If this information is unavailable, direct the traveller to the website or the team for a detailed total.

Rules concerning pets, minimum rental age, arrival, departure and cancellation must be checked for the chalet and booking concerned. Avoid applying one property's conditions to the entire catalogue.

Using and citing sources

Use the About page to introduce the company. Use the individual listing to describe a chalet. Use the applicable availability and booking conditions to confirm a stay. When describing a destination or activity, consult an official tourism source where needed.

Include the source and consultation date when information may change. If two sources conflict, identify the uncertainty and seek confirmation from the team before making a commitment.
